Announcing the Powerful Devs Conference + Hack Together 2025

You are invited to participate in this year’s Powerful Devs Conference + Hack Together, starting on February 12, 2025. The conference will be followed by a two-week Hack Together, ending on February 28, 2025. This event offers an opportunity to develop innovative solutions and collaborate with the Power Platform community. The aim is to provide developers with an experience that utilises the full capabilities of the Power Platform for enterprise application development.

About Powerful Devs Conference

The one-day online Powerful Devs Conference on February 12, 2025, will discuss how developers can utilize the Power Platform to build applications more efficiently. The conference will cover various aspects of the Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, AI Builder, and Copilot Studio, and their role in creating enterprise solutions focused on artificial intelligence. Attendees will learn about the impact of AI and Copilot on app development and how these tools can help create secure applications that add business value. Participants will also have the chance to engage with professional developers, Microsoft Cloud Advocates, community leaders, and members of the Power Platform team.

Our hosts, Scott Durow and Kendra Springer, will guide you through a day of insightful sessions. The event begins with Leon Welicki's keynote on intelligent apps and processes, showing developers how to use Power Platform and AI for secure, enterprise solutions. This will then be followed by multiple sessions from the Microsoft community and will cover generative AI in Copilot Studio, building cross-platform apps with Dataverse and .NET MAUI, scaling solutions for millions of users, and much more. Our agenda aims to inspire and equip developers at all levels.

About Powerful Devs Hack Together

The Powerful Devs Hack Together is a two-week global online hackathon designed to enable participants to apply the knowledge gained from the conference to develop more intelligent and efficient solutions with minimal effort. This event will take place from February 13-28, 2025, at https://aka.ms/PowerfulDevs/Hack. Participants are encouraged to bookmark and star the repo!

Hack Together is available to anyone interested in exploring the potential of using the Power Platform for enterprise app development. Whether you are a beginner, an advanced maker, an admin, or a professional developer, participation is open to all. Be sure to check out solutions submitted from the previous Hack Together and consider creating something innovative with AI yourself.

There will be additional sessions during the Hack Together that will cover topics such as AI, automation, security, and extensibility. These sessions aim to provide further insights and assist you in developing practical solutions from your ideas.

Prizes and categories

There are prizes for the 8 winning projects from Hack Together in the categories listed below. Each winning team will receive a cash prize of $550! Projects will be evaluated by a panel of judges made up of Microsoft engineers, product managers, and developer advocates. The judging criteria will include innovation, impact, technical usability, and alignment with each corresponding hackathon category listed here.

How can you participate?

To participate in Hack Together, please register for the event at https://aka.ms/powerfuldevs/register. Registering for any of the sessions will also register you for the hackathon. You will need access to a Microsoft 365 account with a Power Platform license. After registering and obtaining access to the Power Platform, you can begin building your solution. A Learn Collection has been created to assist you in getting started: https://aka.ms/PowerfulDevs/Learn.

You are encouraged to join the Hack Together community by starring the repository. Updates and information related to the hack, such as Office Hours, Session Q & A, Project Submission Guidelines, Winner Announcements, and more, will be communicated here. Additionally, you can find starting materials and learning resources on this page and submit your final solution through the same platform.

The team may submit the solution in GitHub Issues any time before February 28, 2025, at 11:59 PM PST. The submission should include a short video demo of the solution, a brief description of the problem statement, an overview of the solution, and any other important details. The project can be submitted using the Project Submission Form. Project submission guidelines are available in the GitHub Repo at aka.ms/PowerfulDevs/Hack.
