Azure Monitor provides a rich set of enterprise ready capabilities to ensure you have complete observability of your hybrid environment, helping you keep it always available, reliable and performant. We announced several new capabilities at Microsoft Build 2022 to help you gain intelligent and streamlined visibility into your apps and container workloads.

Intelligently view and identify root causes in application map with Application Insights

  1. We have introduced an Intelligent view toggle on the application map feature that uses patented AIOps and machine learning models to guide you to the root cause of the issue being investigated. The map now can recommend the exact node to node edges that need further investigation.

The images below illustrate this benefit:

Easily enable Application Insights for client-side monitoring of Node.js apps

  1. We have introduced JavaScript auto-injection to Application Insights Node.js SDK that now simplifies enablement for client side monitoring.

Streamline your query experience from Container Insights

  1. Our new ContainerLogv2 schema offers a streamlined querying experience by reducing your data to a single table as well as the number of required join operations.

We also recently introduced a public preview of Azure Managed Grafana and new Grafana integrations, with the ability to pin Azure Monitor visualizations from Azure Portal to Grafana and new out-of-the-box monitoring dashboards.
