I work with a small client that really prefers to run exchange locally. 60 users, 2-4GB mailboxes, very low messages daily, very little changes overall and little growth.
Comparing identical configurations from the Exchange Calc 9.1 using Exchange 2016 to the new 2019 calc 10-5, the new tool recommends an additional 48GB of ram...
Exchange 2016, recommends single vCPU, 16GB of ram, and Raid array
Exchange 2019, recommends single vCPU, 64GB of ram and Raid array.
**THE PROBLEM IS the new 2019 calc does not allow for anything less than 64GB of ram!! even with 1 mailbox at 50MB size, it recommends 64GB? c'mon, that's BS.
The_Exchange_Team can you guys remove that ridiculous minimum requirement? Its literally impossible.
also, are there any plans to add SSDs (SATA, SAS, NVMe) to the storage performance options?
