Hello Team,
I read this post (thanks to the author) but could not find an answer to what i'm looking for. I would like to know if there is an update of this post for Exchange Server 2016 or eventually a best practice guide, procedure or something regarding the implementation of external access in Exchange Server 2016 using Form-based authentication.
I'm currently working for a customer that would like to implement Windows Integrated Authentication for internal users and Form-based authentication when it comes to external access. This post is the only one I found describing steps to achieve that goal but it is focused on Exchange 2013 .
By the way I tried to follow the steps in a lab with Exchange 2016 servers but did not succeeded.
Indeed when accessing the OWA url of the "OWA_SECONDARY" site, the FBA page appears in my browser and I'm asked to enter my username and password. Doing so I'm constantly receiving a message stating that the username or password are not correct whatever username or password I entered (and yes...I'm sure of the credentials of all test users).
I tried to browse the "OWA_SECONDARY" site OWA and ECP virtual directory and the result I obtained is non-browsable virtual dirs with Error 500.
The Default Web Site and all the virtual dirs (OWA, ECP,...) are working fine.
Does anyone have an idea or directions of how to achieve this in Exchange Server 2016 ?
Regards
