You are too emotional, but, unfortunately, in essence you are right.
Here are just the facts:
1. Working with Windows 11 24H2 on your own Home Network has become terribly inconvenient.
2. Microsoft removes our right to be the Administrator of our own Home Network. Hey Microsoft, did you build Windows for IT professionals, or for users? Why did we buy this operating system - to fight the inconvenience with our own money?
3. Microsoft says it did it for security reasons. We can understand. But what if my network is protected by a professional router and a good hardware firewall, and the exchange between devices is governed by strict rules? Let me figure it out for myself. Why would I throw away a well-functioning NAS and, by the way, a modern TV box for the sake of a 24H2?
4. You can temporarily resolve the situation by connecting NAS and other devices such as Network Drives - in the This Computer folder (Map Network Drive). But this is even worse. The fact is that in this case, when you open This PC, Windows checks network connections for 10 (!) seconds (the wheel in the upper left corner). Okay, Windows would do this once after booting. But no, when you open any folder, Windows does it over and over again (in the background). During those 10 seconds, you can't create a file, folder, delete, or rename anything - until 24H2 once again ponders for the hundredth time - where are my Network Drives. And you, user, go drink coffee in the meantime...
5. All recommendations of Ned, unfortunately, do not work.
