Outlook In Teams? Why Yes! Sort of… - HLS Show Me How

The other day, after being asked by a customer why Outlook wasn’t a left rail application in Teams, I decided to show how to add the web version of Outlook as an application in Teams left rail. Doing so was pretty simple and done in just a few minutes using the Developer Portal app for Microsoft Teams. When I shared that I did so I received numerous requests to “Show Me How.” So this is just that, a Show Me How video walking through the process end to end.

This is NOT a supported solution, simply meant for educational purposes as the concept is simple and can be used for a range of other web-based apps if desired. If you do decide to add this to your Teams instance there are no guarantees that it will continue to work in the future and more importantly, I cannot be your support mechanism.
