Resolved - Known issue: Voice calling on Apple devices running iOS/iPadOS 17.2

I can confirm here that 3 of our users still having the delayed phone call issue even with 17.4. More to report.

We've heard from 3 affected users that 17.4 seems to resolve their issue.  The issue being the delayed phone functionality.  We have a number of users that we haven't heard from yet, but this seems promising.

even after 17.4 the heating issues continues the phone is boiling most of the time, its gets some much heated around the ear piece and the area lower to the volume buttons. this is getting more dangerous day by day.

With the release of IOS 17.4 is anyone able to recreate the issue?

17.4 is now released and contains this line, sounds promising: 

"Improves stability when making phone calls and searching contacts on devices with thousands of contacts and Managed Open In restrictions"

alackie can confirm this is the same behavior with our phones as well. Phone app gets stuck a the phone heats up like crazy plus the user doesn’t receive calls and WhatsApp doesn’t work either. So pretty big issue here… this is been since iOS 17.2

ignite24 Can confirm that was what i experienced with issue. Massive battery drain and phone heating due to the phone/dialer becoming unusable. If you ignored using the phone ur battery will just drain and phone gets pretty warm.

I think seshvaranasi's issue is the same.  The Phone/Dialer becomes very slow and unusable, and I'm assuming it is causing high CPU, which would cause heat and abnormal battery use.
