We are also experiencing issues with dynamic groups and the Windows Server value for the Device OS Type. And the root cause is the same, Hybrid Joined Servers gets only the Windows value to the OS attribute. We are now digging more into removing the hybrid join value from the Join Type attribute from the problematic servers. Weird that there has not been a answer or comment to your post.
