1000minds Health-Related Quality of Life Value Set is a solution from 1000minds available in Microsoft Azure Marketplace. Measuring people’s quality of life associated with various dimensions of physical and mental health such as pain, disability, depression — known as health-related quality of life (HRQoL) — is useful for decision-making applications in the health sector. The 1000minds service is used with large representative samples of a country’s population to create value sets, which are used for applications such as health technology prioritization to decide which pharmaceuticals to fund and assessing the performance of health care providers.

How has the product helped your organization?

1000minds has directly benefited the University of Otago and end users including the New Zealand health sector. For example, the EQ-5D-5L and SF-6Dv2 value sets created through 1000minds, and based on the preferences of thousands of individuals, are used for health technology prioritization to determine what pharmaceuticals (and other technologies) to fund.
