The era of artificial intelligence has revolutionized the way Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) operate. From enabling cutting-edge solutions to driving digital transformation, AI has unlocked immense opportunities for innovation. However, this progress has come with a price: the complexity and frequency of cybersecurity threats are at an all-time high.

To help ISVs navigate these challenges, we’re excited to introduce the ISV Security Series, a comprehensive collection of webinars designed to provide ISVs with the tools, insights, and strategies needed to enhance their security posture in today’s rapidly evolving threat landscape.

Security in the Era of AI

The digital age has brought about unprecedented technological advances, but it has also magnified the scale and sophistication of cyber threats. The numbers tell a compelling story:

  • 340 million cybercriminal and nation-state attacks occur daily, showcasing the relentless pace of threats.
  • Password attacks have surged dramatically, jumping from 4,000 per second in 2023 to an alarming 7,000 per second in 2024.
  • Microsoft tracks over 1,500 threat actors today, a significant leap from just 300 in 2023, highlighting the growing capabilities of adversaries.

At the same time, adversaries are leveraging generative AI (GenAI) to amplify their attacks in ways previously unimaginable. These advanced tactics include:

  • Automated vulnerability discovery, enabling attackers to rapidly exploit weak spots.
  • Customizing exploits to maximize success rates.
  • Hyper-realistic phishing and social engineering attacks powered by GenAI.
  • Deepfake technology, creating convincing fake data or voices for fraud.

This dual use of AI as both a tool for innovation and a weapon underscores the importance of embedding security into every step of software development and application deployment.
