I have EXACTLY the same issue it seems. I have a Brother printer. Try going to Settings, printers and scanners. At the bottom is More information and on mine is has a "? Scanners not appearing"
Can you see if you have the same symptom?

Here's yet another person, Roll2001. I guess Roll2001 doesn't count. There's millions of people that have been disrupted by what Microsoft did. I guess Microsoft doesn't care. Just does what they want and leave people to scramble and don't even admit you made a mistake and then wait several months for an update to fix it.
A spokesperson from Microsoft should make a statement to its customers. A worldwide acknowledgment that you screwed up and should have put more and better pre-release testing in place and also created a simple FIX to UN-INSTALL 24H2 until you fix it like placing a download on the website for the previous windows version of Windows 11.
Disgraceful. Somebody at Microsoft should be fired and somebody should put new pre-testing requirements in place before releasing major updates with a fail-safe simple way to undo the Windows Update, even if it is more than 2-weeks since you received it and discovered all the bugs and also put OFF switches in new features that are released if the customer does not want the new feature.
When a restaurant introduces new appetizers on the menu, everyone does not order or want all the appetizers like an Editor feature in WORD and Outlook that you can't turn OFF or Windows Recall or so many other examples.
Microsofthey Burt2024 , I suspect the reason you're struggling to get a response is that you're asking for help in the wrong places. This blog is about an optional feature which is in no way related to Microsoft 365, Windows Recall or the problems you've mentioned with 24H2 which are in no way related to this feature.
You are doing the rough equivalent of yelling at the airport security guy because you are unhappy with your flight. I simply don't know about the issues you're referring to and have no way to help you. That said, I certainly understand the desire to vent your frustrations.
I would encourage you to reach out to support or try something like https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us . You are more likely to have some success there.

MicrosoftRaptorGuy4435 what model is your printer? It is possible for some printers to support Printing over IPP but not support scanning. You can verify this at https://mopria.org/certified-products . That said, if you use the Windows Feedback tool (Feedback Hub) to Report the issue (please include a trace) we can take a look.
JTD02 So it seems the individual consumer is screwed on this scanner issue? I have an HP 4200 all in one series which now has no scanning.

MicrosoftJTD02 Users have multiple alternatives. But as a reminder, this is currently an optional feature that you must enable. Simply disable the feature and you can go back to your previous experience. This can be done by removing the printer, disabling Windows Protected print in settings and rebooting. You can then install drivers from HP.
That said, this feature is very new and still in development, scanner support will improve and in some cases will work for non Mopria devices. So what doesn't work today, may work in the near future. This is why we're asking people to send data using the feedback tool and use the "Recreate my problem" feature to send us data of the printer/scanner setup process.
Brother made an update and since then, my printer, scanner works again. However, there's still an orange dot on the iPrint&scan icon saying that a driver needs to be installed.

I have been through this with the escalated team from Brother multiple times. It's not an official fix. But, the only method is what I described in my post which involves re-installing Windows which the Brother tech advised me to try, un-officially and it worked. But, not by downloading a fresh install of Windows 11 - you have to start with Windows 10 and only Windows 11 24H2 is offered for download from or re-install by Microsoft. So, if you reset your PC from Windows, it will just bring back 24H2.
Officially, Brother is waiting for Microsoft to fix it and it may take a few months unless you can roll back 24H2 update. The television stations should pick up on this and publicize it. Microsoft and their developer teams and project managers should be called to task for this irresponsible rolling out of a bad Windows update that had not been tested completely.
It's not just with Brother printers. Thousands, if not millions of printer models from dozens of manufacturers are having issues. In fact, that's an idea. I'm going to call the media and see if the television stations or somebody will pick up on it, so, it is more than a whisper that Microsoft is trying to keep quiet and maybe that will push them to fix it. They don't care about their customers.
