My name is Kristin Deokiesingh, and I am a data professional with over a decade of experience and a Microsoft Certified Trainer who has lived through the evolution of Microsoft data services. Today, I aim to help unweave the threads of Microsoft Fabric’s latest certification exam, DP-700. 

For those familiar with Microsoft’s data certifications, in 2024, Microsoft’s fastest growing certification on the market was DP-600, the Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer.  

As we accelerate through 2025, another Fabric examination, DP-700, emerges. Catered specifically for Data Engineers, you might wonder how it differs from DP-600, and what about the Azure Data Engineering Certification - DP-203? Look no further, this article will provide you with that and at the end you will have the knowledge and comfort to make that decision of pursuing DP-700.
