Getting started with Microsoft Learn

I don't really know where to send my question but feel free to forward it to the right person with the associated data!
My problem may sound simple but tech support and I have not been able to find a solution! It applies to something as simple as being able to get a microphone to work in an old HP laptop's 3.5mm headphone socket as most of the sockets including the microphone connection are missing! It has windows 10home installed and I have never had any problems before with the same setup/configuration but this is getting really ridiculous!!! It's possible I filled in the wrong address on registration so my address should be: something I wasn't allowed to write...  Certainly I check it far too infrequently if I'm now allowed to blame my illness on my finances and also forces me to use donated devices after the old faithful give up... Back in the day, I used to get the best that was on the market and thus they demanded more of them after all! Unfortunately, bureaucrats have no long-term thinking and IF they all pay for something, it's something that doesn't last long, it's the memory that fills up and cloud storage with sufficient capacity (>3 Tb) is expensive and therefore not a workable solution unfortunately... Can only hope for help now, the problem could be that the computer is in Finnish which I can't possibly understand so I use the previous owner's account and pin without a password to log into my own accounts which has been working better than expected . it's a shame of Windows to despise a country's constitution which clearly states that Finland has two equivalent languages namely: Swedish and Finnish! But most people like to "forget" the Swedish and then it's totally incomprehensible! If I were an advertiser with national pride, I would boycott monolingual ad options to make anyone really believe that a Swede understands anything at all about Finnish??? As a thought experiment, I wonder how the English speakers would react if all their devices only had Chinese as their original language before you created your own account that SHOULD be in your language but can't really handle it (e.g. system messages only come in incomprehensible Finnish) if it could still be in English which almost everyone must know to a certain extent?
