Need to present a video to a group of people online, but when you play it on your computer and share your desktop, it’s laggy and dropping frames for others in a Microsoft Teams meeting, or maybe it’s missing the audio track?

I just tried this solution with a colleague but we cannot replicate this experience - in our case, no matter what we do, the users have to press "play" and "pause" themselves for the online video embedded in powerpoint live to play. The presenter can only advance the slides, but when I as a presenter press play on my side the participants don't even notice it. I've re-watched a couple of times to see if there is a seting anywhere, but we've done exactly as shown in the video.

How do we solve this issue?

Best if we could have the option to enable/disable media controls just like the navigation option.

    Thank you.

What about Teams Live events, there is no PowerPoint Live for this?  Only the ability to share the Desktop or Window in these events.  Any tips or options to improve this?

  • I agree this is the biggest flaw: "major flaw. In most cases, I can think of the presenter needs to have full control over what is presented". Is there a fix to this?

This functionality is great but has a major flaw. In most cases I can think of the presenter needs to have full control over what is presented in the meeting/webinar. Even if I disable presentation controls the media controls are still accessible for all participants. The biggest problem with this is if participants accidently stops the video which leads to confusion and the speaker having to deal with shouting in the chat like "the video stopped without me doing anything!!! start it again!!".
