When did you join the Student Ambassadors community?

Joined in April, 2021.

What was being a Student Ambassador like?

An amazing experience to say the least. It helped me grow; it was something truly fantastic. I had never taken sessions with so many participants before. Not only did the program enable me to achieve that, but the Azure credits were also a humongous help and I'll always long for those.

Was there a specific experience you had while you were in the program that had a profound impact on you and why?

I have participated in the program by various means. I cherish my memories sitting late at night around 4 AM here chatting with people from different countries. Understanding we are all quite similar though the world and other political agendas might differ. We are just fun-loving developers who can chat about why or how a particular technology is suitable, and it is beautiful really. Being an Edge Add-ons Insiders track leader at one point, I remember how I interacted with various people and how my horizons of understanding broadened. Participating in the Ideathon in which I ended up second got me a chance to understand my idea from an expert. And finally, I used to show off the stickers and swag I got. Lastly, the Azure credits were a HUGE help. I understood things about deployments, networking, and even Kubernetes and Docker thanks to Azure.

Tell us about a technology you had the chance to gain a skillset in as a Student Ambassador. How has this skill you acquired helped you in your post-university journey?

I was able to learn cloud deployments on Azure App Service during my college time. Now every time I have to deploy a backend application, my go-to is Azure App Service.

What is something you want all students, globally, to know about the Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador Program?

It's a beautiful journey, but I felt the most important part is the community. You can get all the swag and the credits you want, but the people you meet are sure to leave an indelible impact in different regions of the world.

What advice would you give to new Student Ambassadors, who are just starting in the program? Enjoy it as much as you can, interact more with your peers. Especially those who are not native to your country as the exposure it will give you would be immense.

Tell us something interesting about you, about your journey.

I have always been a person who was very deep in the sea with tech, be it the latest updates in AI. I am really curious about brain-machine interfaces and reinforcement learning as I feel that these areas are very unexplored. I have written 2 academic papers as well (please find them on my LinkedIn) and an article about BCIs as well. Being very active in the hackathon community, I might have just participated and hosted about 25+ events with mostly everything being online. At college, I had the chance to mentor 100+ students and judge 2 hackathons with about 1000+ participants. I graduated happily and joined Redwood Software. Cheers!
