When did you join the Student Ambassadors community?

I joined in January 2022.

What was being a Student Ambassador like?

Being a Student Ambassador was an incredible experience that taught me valuable skills like communication, leadership, and teamwork. I worked closely with the university community, promoting our brand and building relationships with prospective students and alumni. One of the highlights was attending events on campus, networking with people from different backgrounds, and developing connections that can be beneficial in the future. I also created a resource pack for my fellow ambassadors, which has been well-received. It's an experience I'll always cherish and am grateful to have had.

Was there a specific experience you had while you were in the program that had a profound impact on you and why?

One experience that had a profound impact on me was working on a personal project to create a Certificate Generator for Student Ambassadors. What started as a small idea quickly gained traction, and it became one of the most popular resources among my fellow ambassadors. This project taught me the value of innovation, perseverance, and community engagement. Seeing how it benefited so many people made it truly rewarding, and I'm proud to have played a role in creating something that helped make our program more accessible and fun for everyone.

Tell us about a technology you had the chance to gain a skillset in as a Student Ambassador. How has this skill you acquired helped you in your post-university journey?

During my time as a Student Ambassador, I gained a strong foundation in Microsoft Azure. I successfully passed four MS Azure exams, which not only demonstrated my technical skills but also equipped me with the knowledge to design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions. Azure has become an essential tool for me, enabling me to automate tasks, optimize resources, and improve efficiency in various projects. My experience with Azure has been invaluable, allowing me to stay ahead of the curve in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.

What is something you want all students, globally, to know about the Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador Program?

I want students worldwide to know that the Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador Program offers a wealth of opportunities for growth and connection. By joining our global community, students can access cutting-edge learning resources, collaborate with peers on exciting projects, and develop in-demand skills like Azure expertise, which has been instrumental in my career journey. The program fosters a supportive network that empowers students to drive positive change, innovate, and thrive in their chosen fields.

What advice would you give to new Student Ambassadors, who are just starting in the program?

To new Student Ambassadors, I'd say: be authentic, stay curious, and be open to learning from others. Don't be afraid to ask questions or try new things – it's a great way to build connections with your peers and make a positive impact. Also, don't underestimate the value of networking; attend events, join online communities, and engage with our ambassadors on social media to stay connected and get the most out of your experience. Most importantly, have fun and enjoy the journey!

Share a favorite quote with us! It can be from a movie, a song, a book, or someone you know personally. Tell us why you chose this. What does it mean for you?

"You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great."
- Zig Ziglar

There was some point when I was afraid of everything, but maybe overcoming the fear was the hardest step in the whole journey. The actual journey was pretty fun.

Tell us something interesting about you, about your journey.

What's interesting is that my passion for empowering students was inspired by a personal experience. As an international student myself, I struggled to navigate the academic system at first. But with the help of mentors and peers, I found my footing and went on to become a Student Ambassador. Now, I'm able to give back to others in a similar way, creating resources like our Certificate Generator that make it easier for students to succeed.
