Great! Now develop something that allows admins to disable email notifications we don't want going to a large audience.
Too bad who designed this product didn't have the insights to think how admin's can effectively turn this off. OR even STOP users from being "opt'ed" in automatically. It basically is like being automatically opted in for emails you don't want for your environment, otherwise known as spam.
Did anyone think that some users that may have Yammer licenses may not have an inbox or configured to not receive notifications from outside the organization? Yammer/Viva Engage emails come from the outside an organization and not within the tenant.
Imagine having thousands of users with no email or not able to receive emails from outside the organization, being bombarded by Yammer/Viva Engage notifications, and then Exchange Online sending back thousands of NDR's daily.
It's a very reckless design that you rely on users to change their email notifications and not admins.
Please fix this.
