We are pleased to report that our Microsoft Tech Community platform upgrade is complete!
Updated Nov 06, 2024
Version 2.0Do you support the restoration of the previous MTC platform?
I actually like the TechCommunity's new look and feel. It has potential. 😃
It would be nice if Microsoft let the top Contributors Beta Test it before rollout.
I'm here because I like wonderful people from all over the world who help each other!
This will encourage me to be active, etc., but the current change is not suitable for any repair - > I think it needs to be removed and implemented after many tests.
What do you think?
Times are changing. Wayyyy Back in the Day (I am telling my age🤣), Microsoft and other technology giants were rolling out new 80/20 products every three years or so. The users had enough time to learn it before the next rollout, and it was less disruptive. In today's time, users get a 50/50 product with ongoing updates. As a result, users have less confidence in the company and product. That's sad! A small business would not survive with this business model. The product must work well from the start and have a scalability plan.
I understand that the Tech Giants have "millions" of users with just as many requirements. However, it does not feel like they have beta testers outside the company's developers and are not transparent about what's coming and when.
I embrace new technology, but times are changing. Keeping up is a full-time job. I feel sorry for general users who just want to know enough to keep the lights on. 🤣 I guess that's why I am a technical trainer.
That said, Tech Community's new platform is here to stay. I can't reverse it, so I keep giving the team feedback.
Oh my, you got me started. 🤣 Feel free to email me for a private conversation. 🤣
If you plan to be at Ignite, let's meet.
