MicrosoftJust curious if there are any updates on this? It's been 7 months without an update. I decided to give this a try on 2 of our Servers because 1 of them was having issues opening the correct port after an update with the old WAC.
But after installing this on both Machines, the service won't start and I get a similar error when installing with custom port. I use port 8443 (and 6601-6610 for service ports) because port 443 is used for another application but I'm getting errors saying the urlacl port for port 6600 isn't created but I'm not using port 6600 and I see the urlacl for 8443 when running the "netsh http show urlacl" command.
Overall, I love WAC and am using for more management tasks regularly-- yes, it's slightly slower than mmc but the it feels much cleaner and modern and it seems like v2 has a lot of performance improvements that will help with the speed. Was also excited for the powershell module for this but it also seems like it needs some work since many of the functions related to bindings I've attempted to use return random errors that don't seem to match the output of a similar netsh command.
I will probably try to fix the issue with the old WAC since it looks like there are a few other features such as extension feeds and such that I would like to see in v2 before fully migrating.
