Another option with the older PC is to set up dual boot with it Ubuntu allows that and so does a great free OS called Zorin OS. You keep Windows 10 for offline use and boot into the other when you want to do online browsing.
Having tried the latest version of Zorin OS v17 I actually quite like it. There is a paid version at about £40+ and that comes with 5 years of on-line support. You can pick once in it from various front end looks. The normal default is very similar to Windows. An irony is you can also change it to look like Android and even a Windows 11 look too.
For most users though Zorin Core is good and it's free.
You can download it and try it from the flash drive before going ahead to install. Maybe Microsoft should grasp that these days there are other alternatives that users can switch to.
It's ironic in a way that some media reports are now saying Windows 10 is being used on more PCs that Windows 11 and installed on PCs.
