In relation to what I take to be the exchange between Brownsfan4Ever and Computerdave911, I suspect that a crucial point might be the reference to a custom-built PC. I am in the same situation. Running the Windows software to check my computer (recent, custom-built) indicated that it could not run Windows 11, because of security issues. I have subsequently seen an indication that while machines of the kind that I had would be capable of running it, the relevant stuff had not been switched on when the units were shipped. (You can tell from the lack of specificity that while I use my desktop and laptop regularly, I am not up on what the problems here are.) This does not appear to be an issue that people in my position can tackle for themselves, so I will need to take the machine back to the guy who built it for me, to get it fixed - if, indeed, it can be. This is, to say the least, a pain.
More generally, I am secretary of a society of largely retired people, a good number of whom are elderly, and this is likely to face members with hassle that they could do without, and with replacement of equipments costs which they may not be able to afford.
