Whether at events, in online forums, through the Microsoft Management Customer Connection Program (Microsoft Management CCP), or in Microsoft Teams chats, IT pros are always clamoring to stay as informed and up to date as possible. However, this can be a labor of love given the vast array of resources and support systems Microsoft offers. To make things easier, the Windows Cloud Experiences team compiled a list of recommended resources for IT pros who are managing Windows 365 and looking to get the most out of it for their organizations.
Not sure where to go? Start with these resources!
- Documentation – Official product documentation for Windows 365 Enterprise.
- In development – To help in your readiness and planning, this page lists Windows 365 updates and features that are in development but not yet released. This page reflects our current expectations about Windows 365 capabilities in an upcoming release. Dates and individual features might change. This page doesn't describe all features in development.
- What’s new in Windows 365 Enterprise – Learn what new features are available in Windows 365 Enterprise. Each monthly update may roll out over several weeks and might not be immediately available to all customers.
- Windows App and its features – What’s new in Windows App
- Windows 365 roadmap – Refer to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, where you can search for Windows 365 feature updates and availability dates.
Worried about missing an alert? Fear not!
Windows 365 follows the Modern Lifecycle Policy and uses the Message center and Service health dashboard, which are available to administrators in the Microsoft Intune admin center, to keep you informed on service updates, incidents, and health status.
Message center
Use this resource for proactive notifications about upcoming changes and new features in Windows 365 to help you prepare for any impact to your organization.
Notifications include those for:
- New features – Announced at release
- Service behavior changes – Typically communicated 30 days in advance
- Planned maintenance – Notified at least 5 days prior
- End-of-support notices – Usually a year in advance for entire services, and 90 days for operating system or major features
You can view all relevant Windows 365 Message center posts in the Microsoft Intune admin center. Go to Tenant administration > Tenant status. We aim to display only posts relevant to your organization, and for broader updates, we specify how changes may impact you in the “How does this affect my organization” section.
Service health dashboard
Get real-time updates on Windows 365 services, showing active incidents and maintenance updates. These updates help you monitor service health and quickly respond to ongoing issues that may affect your organization. Access Windows 365 service incidents in the Microsoft Intune admin center under Tenant administration > Tenant status > Service health. Notices remain visible for 5-7 days after an incident closes, and the Microsoft 365 admin center retains archived notices for up to 30 days.
Email notifications
For added convenience, you can receive email notifications for Message center updates and Service health alerts. Learn more about setting message and email preferences. All Windows 365 email notifications are managed through the Microsoft 365 admin center, ensuring you stay informed on service changes, incidents, and maintenance updates for your organization.
Need help? We've got you!
For instructions on how to get help and open a support ticket, see How to get support in Microsoft Intune. Support is included as part of your Windows 365 subscription.
Since Cloud PCs work like most physical devices, you can use existing documentation to troubleshoot issues with Windows client, Microsoft 365 services, and Microsoft Intune admin center.
Feeling social? Let’s chat!
Microsoft Management CCP provides opportunities for IT pros and Microsoft engineering teams to work together to develop solutions that better address commercial customer needs. This collaboration results in product improvement for Microsoft Intune, Windows Cloud, and Windows Commercial. Learn more about this non-disclosure agreement (NDA) program or opt-in today.
