Stock Data Types Wont Refresh - Provides Erroneous Error Message
I have an Excel workbook I created a few months ago and this afternoon while I was away, the "stocks" data type refresh feature stopped refreshing. The error message I receive instructs me to sign in to an account associated with this product (Excel), but I am clearly signed in. To be sure, I sign out and sign back in. Hit 'refresh' and receive the same error message. MS tech support tried to make a manual repair during a chat session, but it still will not refresh. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
- Will Microsoft ever formally communicate the problem is fixed? Very disappointed with their customer service communications, the last time this happened I talked with a representative who had me re-install my Office 365 which did nothing. They then said they filed a request for me and gave me a number, unfortunately they do not have a method to check on the status and I never heard back from them. For me I understand that things break, I am more concerned at the lack of follow up. It's not like they don't know who we are!

Although things seem to be working, something happened to one of my workbooks and now it won't open at all. All that work appears to be gone. I don't get it.

Anyone else on a Mac? Sounds like lots of people getting functionality back but my sheets still not updating on Mac.
- Mine on Mac is finally working correctly today.
- Yes, my Mac spreadsheet updated just before market closing time of 1:00 PM PDT. Latest Mac OS and latest Excel for Mac V16.74. Guess I’ll find out for sure tomorrow morning but I got closing prices.

- I'm on a Mac with Msft 365. Everything is current, but I did not make any changes since the problem began yesterday. All is well, and has been for the last few hours.
- Looks like it is stable now. Thank you to the people who identified the problem and the people who resolved it.
Finally... working for me again. Wow, a lot happened in the two days it was out!
