Dec 23, 2024Hello, I wanted to follow up on this and see if you’ve been able to find a resolution for the matter discussed above. If not, I was wondering if you have access to any of the following documents, as they might be helpful:
- IRS Determination Letter
- A letter from the IRS confirming the nonprofit's tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) or another applicable section of the Internal Revenue Code.
- Certificate of Incorporation
- Issued by the Secretary of State (or equivalent state agency), this document confirms the organization's legal establishment as a corporation.
- Employer Identification Number (EIN) Confirmation Letter
- A letter from the IRS assigning the organization's EIN for tax purposes.
- Annual Filing Confirmation
- Proof of filing required annual reports, such as IRS Form 990 or state-level equivalent forms.
- State Tax-Exempt Certificate
- If applicable, documentation from the state confirming the organization's exemption from state sales, income, or property taxes.
- Licenses and Permits
- Special licenses or permits required for specific nonprofit activities (e.g., fundraising permits).
- Bylaws (Stamped or Certified)
- Certified copies of the organization's bylaws filed with the state or local government agency.
- Government Grants or Funding Agreements
- Documentation of federal or state grants awarded to the organization, which can demonstrate its credibility and recognition by government entities.
