What is your Exchange version ? The best way to migrate is using Hybrid and secure, you can always rollback.

If we choose Hybrid and after migration can we decommission the on-prem? We have 2010 Exchange btw.
Hi Mark Louie Diaz you can continue to use Hybrid and migrate your Exchange to 2016 you can request a key here http://aka.ms/hybridkey and you will need to continue to have hybrid implemented to be full supported if you have directory synchronization.
