Microsoft Inspire FY24 - Updates

Microsoft Inspire has unveiled that its partner program is now called the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program. This program signifies a critical step in the evolution of our partner system, empowering partners to leverage Microsoft AI and the Cloud. It provides a broad spectrum of investment opportunities suitable for all partner business models and maturity stages. The program offers support to monetize intellectual property and services, accelerating market value creation and innovation.

Satya Nadella, Microsoft's CEO, highlighted the comprehensive unification of the partner lifecycle aspects in this program, ensuring a seamless integration for existing partners. Additionally, we have tripled our investment in Azure Migrate & Modernize and added a $100M increment to Azure Innovate to facilitate every customer's end-to-end cloud journey.

New AI-focused benefits are also on the horizon to aid partners in adopting AI technology for customer success. We are simultaneously expanding our Solutions Partner designations and investing in the Microsoft commercial marketplace to foster partner growth. The introduction of the industrial metaverse to the AI Cloud Partner Program is another step towards our commitment to our partners' success.

Microsoft is bolstering its strategic investments in the commercial marketplace to expand Azure IP Co-Sell benefits. From July 1, 2023, Azure IP Co-Sell benefits will require having Azure IP Co-Sell eligibility and a transactable offer published in the commercial marketplace. Upon meeting these requirements, two pathways to access top tier benefits open, depending on your business and goals: marketplace performance or consumption commitments. This move comes as customers increasingly choose online platforms for application discovery and purchase, and the marketplace’s sales and Azure IP Co-Sell revenues have shown significant growth.

Microsoft’s commercial marketplace offers partners a major market opportunity to sell their Co-Sell eligible cloud-based apps. The new capabilities announced include Azure IP Co-Sell benefits and updates to criteria for eligible Azure solutions. These aim to help you tap into new sales channels, expedite deals, and maximize customers’ committed cloud investments.

To further facilitate transactions, Microsoft is releasing new commercial marketplace enhancements and capabilities. These include multiparty private offers, enabling custom deal creation, and indications of intent to transact to align deal-making processes.
