Android App for different enrolments
Hi
Most of our Android devices on Intune are registered as Corporate owned, fully managed and the apps are all installed as 'required' assigned to user groups.
I have been asked to set up BYOD for Android so I am trying to create the Work profile set up. The problem is that it automatically installs all apps we've assigned for corporate owned devices. How do I separate the apps from each type of enrolment bearing in mind that the same app (eg Outlook), might be installed on both types of enrolment? We are assigning apps by user so I can't think of a way to prevent it.
Thanks
Hi JamesIVH,
You could try a filter in the application assignment to exclude the BYOD devices based on either deviceOwnership or enrollmentProfile name. If the apps are required and you add the filter then they should not install on the devices that match the filter criteria.
If you wanted that same app to be available with user choice, you could add a group to the available with or without enrollment assignment.

Filtering out Personal devices using deviceOwnership worked. Just seemed a bit strange to assign by user but exclude by device.

Ok great, thanks for the reply I'll test it.
The only reason I hadn't tried filtering by device was because I have the apps assigned by user, I thought excluding by device might not work.
