Just tried it again. I pushed the policies and there is a notification on the device that the location was requested. Once i click locate device(which becomes available in the UI after the policy is pushed), everything works except the location is not showed on the map and an error is shown. I suspect this final part is not yet implemented by microsoft. I don't understand why this is not finished yet, we like to track a lost device.

- WietsedrMar 05, 2024Copper ContributorThanks i already configured the steps over there but i have never managed to get the actual location. I will follow the progress at Peter's blog.
- Omar DroubiMar 05, 2024Copper ContributorSince about 2 months ago this service has been working for us 100%. I reviewed Peter's blog and his recommendations match my working "Android Enterprise Fully Managed... Device Restrictions" policy and permissions on the device. On your test device check to see if location is turned on and confirm that Intune has permission. We haven't found a way to enforce location services to remain on, but aside from that our policy just magically started working.
- WietsedrMar 06, 2024Copper ContributorI think you are right. I tested another phone used by one of my colleagues and this was working. After that i had my test phone search for a location in google maps and after that i got the location too. Maybe because i was always inside, i don't know. We must indeed make sure location is on because without it a location cannot be found. I haven't found a workaroud for that either.
