Copilot missing in Outlook
Hi,
I have a Copilot license for Microsoft 365. I can use it in all the apps (Powerpoint, Excel, OneNote etc) except in Outlook. It was accessible in Outlook last week, but now it is missing. It is missing in Outlook Online and in the New Outlook for desktop.
How can this be?
- It didn't work for me because of language settings. I had my outlook set to Dutch when i switch it to English it works!

Much the same here. I have the new Outlook. CoPilot shows up when creating a new email (below) and I thought I saw the CoPilot button on the ribbon once but it's definitely not there now:

It randomly turned up in my Outlook Desktop a week or two after activating. No change here. And I had installed all Office Updates at the point of issues. So who knows!

I have the very same problem here. Works everywhere except Outlook (yes, I have the new one). Outlook Web version does not work either. The Copilot icon is simply grayed out. Weirdly, it works in mobile Outlook app on iOS.
I have English language configured everywhere, I even removed additional languages from M365 settings.

I've just found out that when I switch email to HTML, my Copilot starts working. I am old and I've always used to compile the emails in plain text unless I needed some fancy tables or formatting.
So it seems that the language needs to be English and default email type needs to be HTML and everything seems to work now.

- dpilcherBrass ContributorFYI, waited 48h. Have updated software. Have updated license in Outlook. Have looked in the app store (no copilot app exists...). Have checked tenant app admin center. Copilot present and has apps enabled for all users. Although I see no apps present that are named Copilot except a Copilot for Outlook Sales.
Note: We have apps restricted for users to only allowed apps, but there is nothing to allow, and wouldn't this be part of the Outlook product? - clarkeyi1590
Microsoft
Have you tried updating your license in M365 Apps for Enterprise through File > Accounts > Update License. know it works for other apps but may be worth trying plus checking updates for your current M365 Apps version?- DKTOACopper ContributorHi,
Here are my findings.
I have O365, languages pack Danish - update ring Monthly
I could use Copolit in Word, Excel, Powerpoint but not in Outlook Web client, classic Outlook or New Outlook. All apps have languages pack Danish.
I changed languages in Outlook only to English and changed update ring to Current. After is was possible to use Copilot in Outlook Web and New Outlook, but still not in Outlook classic.

Added Copilot pro as part of the Family 365 plan. COPILOT icon doesnt even pop up in Outlook or New outlook or anywhere else.
I also havent been able to use it in excel - it is constantly reporting an error. I tried language settings update, but no luck.
Any help / advice will be appreciated
- nathanlaufferCopper ContributorI'm in the same boat. Also, I can't search for documents within PowerPoint. (see https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/copilot-for-microsoft-365/no-microsoft-365-documents-are-being-found-when-using-the-to/m-p/4045537).
