Disable Copilot on Mac
How do I disable Copilot on my Macbook Pro? I absolutely detest it.

Yes, wondering the same. Recommendations I've seen for Windows don't apply to the Mac version.

Not only do I hate CoPilot, it's scraping data from files I've not opened in months. Further it's LYING to me (seriously) and then when I called it on the lie it told me "I have decided not to discuss this further" I've posted screen shots https://www.linkedin.com/posts/darsys_i-have-microsoft-office-365-desktop-mac-activity-7286189392786776064-BsHi?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop here. I've cancelled my Microsoft subscription and switched to Libre office. I don't want CoPilot and you can't turn it off. I didn't ask for it to be installed. I didn't authorize it to scrape my documents only that's what it's doing.
It's EVIL. I was a fan of AI until this past Friday. Now it's my enemy.
I've already emailed the executives at my company to remove CoPilot or Office from our corporate servers as it's a privacy danger to company information.

I second the question. It's a hideous hassle seemingly designed to make people even more ignorant and unable to write or think clearly.
Please bring back MS Word circa 1994! Most of the additions since then are useless or worse.

There may be a solution. It appears if you don't want to switch to one of the free/open versions available, that the Office Mac Desktop application https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/buy/compare-all-microsoft-365-products?rtc=1 may not have CoPilot. If so I'd consider buying it.
