Error while trying to use Copilot in Excel
I get the following error constantly: "As a Microsoft 365 Personal or Family subscriber, you'll be able to use Copilot when you're signed with your Microsoft work or school account (Entra ID) and Microsoft personal account. However, that ability is not yet available."
What to do?
This is happening on a freshly rebuilt computer. I didn't have the issue before the reload of windows and office.
I am having the same issue
For M365 Personal , Work Account ( Entra ID) is not required. Your M365 Personal subscription is enough and Copilot in Excel is available for free inside that ( Limited Functionality ) . As Microsoft just announced this on 16th Jan 2025 . It may take time to appear in some instances.

Work account / Entra ID /Business Account all these are interchangeably terms . I am able to use Copilot in Excel will with my M365 Business Basic + M365 Copilot Well
Many other people are experiencing the same issue (try searching).
This seems to occur when there are multiple office 365 accounts (business and personal).
Is someone looking at this and is there any workaround?
I also recieve the same NOW - however, for the past month plus i have been using this. powerpoint provides this errors, other at the moment seem to be just not functioning in the side bar. NOTE... i have subscribe, it is a personal, has been working, i am on mac, but this is only the last week maybe. I cannot seem to change this:
