Best way to maintain a calendar on Channel
Hello,
I'm trying to provide visibility of key meetings to my community.
I have multiples Channel in a Teams group and I wanted to leverage the Channel Calendar to do so.
Yet many meetings are not organized by me and won't be, hence I cannot use the Channel Calendar to create them.
I was thinking to simply forward the invitation to the group or something like this, but not possible.
What is the best way to maintain a calendar to be visible to the group members? (And without recreating all meetings + following the changes when they happened....)
Thank you

Hi Karibu,
To maintain a calendar visible to group members without recreating all meetings and keeping track of changes, you can follow these steps:
1. Use a Shared Online Calendar: Choose a popular online calendar platform that supports sharing and collaboration, such as Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, or Apple Calendar. Create a new calendar specifically for your group.
2. Import Existing Meetings: If you already have meetings scheduled in individual calendars or other applications, look for an option to import events into the shared calendar. Many calendar platforms offer import functionalities that allow you to bring in events from other calendars. This way, you don't have to recreate all the meetings manually.
3. Share the Calendar: Once the shared calendar is set up, invite the group members to access and view the calendar. Depending on the platform, you can typically grant permissions to specific individuals or groups. Make sure to provide clear instructions on how to access the calendar and any relevant guidelines for using it.
4. Enable Notifications: Encourage group members to enable notifications for the shared calendar. This way, they will receive alerts about new events or any changes made to existing events. Notifications can be sent via email, push notifications on mobile devices, or within the calendar application itself.
5. Centralize Scheduling: Going forward, encourage all group members to schedule meetings directly on the shared calendar. This ensures that everyone has visibility into the events and reduces the chances of missing updates or conflicting schedules. If any group member needs to make changes to an existing event, they should do so on the shared calendar as well.
6. Communicate Changes: Establish clear communication channels within the group to notify members about significant changes or updates to the calendar. This could be through email, a dedicated chat platform, or regular team meetings. By keeping everyone informed, you ensure that all group members are aware of any modifications to the calendar.
By following these steps, you can maintain a calendar visible to group members without the need to recreate all meetings and ensure that everyone stays up to date with any changes.

- KaribuCopper ContributorThank you, I've created a shared calendar, let me see how to add it to a Team Channel then.
It seems I will need to pay attention to copy the new meetings that come (And recurrent ones) in this new shared calendar.
Any other way like forwarding an invite to a Team group?- Deleted
Karibu ,
To forward an invite to a Microsoft Teams group, you can follow these steps:
1. Open Microsoft Teams: Launch the Microsoft Teams application or access it through your web browser.
2. Find the Team group: Locate the specific Team group for which you want to forward the invitation. You can navigate to the "Teams" tab on the left-hand side and select the appropriate Team from the list.
3. Access the invitation: In the Team group, go to the "Posts" or "Conversations" tab and find the invitation message you want to forward. It could be a recent message or pinned post.
4. Select and copy the invitation: Highlight the entire invitation message or the relevant information you want to forward. Right-click on the selected text and choose "Copy" from the context menu. Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+C (or Command+C on Mac) to copy the content.
5. Create a new message: Go to the chat or channel where you want to forward the invitation. Click on the "New message" icon or use the designated shortcut, such as the "Chat" or "Compose" button.
6. Paste and send the invitation: In the new message field, right-click and select "Paste" from the context menu. Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+V (or Command+V on Mac) to paste the copied invitation. Review the message to ensure all the necessary details are included, and then click "Send" to forward the invitation to the Team group.
By following these steps, you can efficiently share the invitation with the desired Microsoft Teams group.
