Hide bar at top of teams sharing

rayted22 I'm not aware of any way to disable it. It's generally needed is you end up giving control to other people.

Hi Steven
Thank you for your reply
Is there no way to switch off the sharing bar? I mean the pushpin seems to keep the bar there (static) but doesn't hide it from what I tried. I really want to disable it completely or stop it coming up when presenting. Any other options please?
Thanks

- JimBooneyMay 16, 2024Copper ContributorThere should at least be a way to minimize it. It is wild that users cant use browsers or access menus without fighting to get around it. Bad UX

Just sharing with everyone this, which I think would finally addresses this issue 🙂

- PaulPacurarMay 09, 2024Copper Contributorone of the most stupid design decision; please inform your team and not reply in a defensive manner. That button bar is really so frustrating! it should be movable or it shouldn't be there at all. Control can be given or is given automatically when requested, the bar is really useless. Thanks

StevenC365 this seems to be the wrong place to log this complaint. Do you know of a more effective channel to get this feedback to MS Teams developers/product managers?

ryanrenne , There is a feedback portal for many MS products (including Teams) since they stopped using UserVoice a few years ago. Unfortunately, you can only log into the feedback portals with a MS personal or MS commercial account (eg. if you try to use a GCC account, you get an error; you can visit the site, but you can't log in to post or upvote suggestions unless you use a personal or commercial account).

How can this be a solution when it is not a solution... the bar still exists, it is in the way and there is no way to move it and if it is hidden it still blocks access to any tabs from your browser in the middle of the screen.

We are paying for teams and I'm searching over. a month to find a solution for this and I don't know why no one at Microsoft cares about the customer experience and adding one simple feature to be able to move the sharing bar to right or left or somewhere else. This is sooooooooo annoying in sharing mode to access browser tabs, vscode file tabs, etc. Should we beg you to do this? I know that everyone at Microsoft tells if you don't take your mouth there, it will disappear, but still the remained little bar there is hiding and I can't access the tabs behind it. I have to minimize my browser, change the tab, and then full screen again. So annoying.
I'm now switched to use Google meet, Facetime, or anything else than Microsoft products as the control bar is at the bottom or somewhere else.
