How-to remove a contact from personal contacts in Teams?

Hi everyone!

I want to get rid of several contacts that got imported to my Teams contact list when my user was migrated from Skype For Business.

How do I remove contacts from my list completely?

I was able to remove a contact from all groups but the contact still seem to be there (e.g. via search).

Thank you!

  • That most likely means that a corresponding user/contact object still exists in the directory, you have to remove it from there (using the O365 admin portal or the Azure AD blade or the corresponding PowerShell cmdlets).

Now that is a perfect example of a reply for the lay user ...  NOT !!!    Can't customer service learn to speak "user" instead of "techie" ?   The lay user is supposed to know how to use "the O365 admin portal" or the "Azure AD blade" (whatever a blade is) or the "corresponding Power Shell cmdlets" ?    A user just wants to click on a contact they don't want and DELETE them ...  We're getting kicked off Skype and have to become IT experts to use Teams ?
