I cannot create a bullet list anymore in teams chat

Hi everyone, would be great if someone can help me. Since recently I cannot add a bullet list in the teams chat anymore. If I add one bullet and then I enter the whole message gets posted. If I do a shift+enter I can go to the next line but then no bullet is being shown. This always worked but from one day to another it doesn't anymore. Does anyone have any idea how I can fix this?

    I also noticed this starting this week.

    workaround appears to be opening the "format editor" button. The A with the pencil on the bottom left corner of your message. Then the list stays active as you press enter. Of course, now you cannot press enter to send the message...

    Agreed. Still hasnt been fixed. Shouldnt be an issue for a company like Microsoft to leave unrefined in their software products

    This is simply ridiculous. Looks like no one in Microsoft even uses Teams, as we struggle with lists literally every day

      * symbol creates a bullet list with circles (standard)

        gmangsxr750tested today with 3 different "un-numbered" styles: +, *, - resulting in

        (tried in that order)

         

        The filled middle dot version is the one that comes also when hitting the button:

    Same here. Used to work a few months ago, then suddenly stopped working. Regression: obviously MS hasn't tested properly before throwing out a release. And hasn't bothered to go back and fix this quickly either.

    Teams is such a disaster 😞
    - Chat just keeps getting worse - this bug and the arrow keys bug were introduced months ago and MS never bothered to fix them
    - Setting up calls with people outside your organisation is a mission (chats disappear for guests as soon as the call ends)
    - There's no way to chat with guests outside of calls either.
    I'm not sure how MS thinks their clients work but this is absolutely not sufficient.

    I couldn't agree more, the format editor keyboard hotkey is a lifesaver for me, but I'd appreciate the previous behaviour to be reinstated.

    RLesm2021 - Microsoft, please, sort this out - it's so intensely irritating. This is the kind of thing that makes me want to put the business case together for switching to Slack.

    Microsoft, please fix this.
    It's not possible to send formatted lists anymore, I started having these issues randomly, I started sending half-written messages by accident because of this, and now single bullet points have random indentations... the whole thing is a mess.
    Such a core feature is broken in a chat app which is supposed to be used by companies. A shame.
