Microsoft account, outlook, teams and gmail

Hello

I have a new Windows 11 laptop,  I have uploaded Office.  Office is linked to my gmail account x.gmail and linked as an additional account to a microsoft account of the same name.

I have downloaded Teams, open with the Microsoft account x.gmail but although the account states the email is x.gmail it doesnt link to the calendar in outlook nor email but rather has generated a random outlook email account.

is there a work around for this?

thanks for your help

Sounds like you’ve created a new Microsoft Account using your Gmail address. For example, if you went to outlook.com and entered your Gmail email address to sign in, it‘ll just show the details of that new Microsoft account.

What this means is that the Calendar in Teams isn’t looking at your Outlook calendar, it’s looking at the Microsoft Account created with the Gmail account. I don’t think there’s a way to show your Gmail calendar in the consumer version of Teams sorry.
