MS TEAMS ON MOBILE BROWSER

Good news, it's actually possible to access MS Teams via mobile browser. You just need to set your mobile browser to "request desktop site" when the "browser not supported" window shows up. Then you can access Teams as usual.

os123455 Sorry, but this doesn't work (anymore). If I activate the desktop mode, the loading screen will be displayed endlessly (see screenshot below).

cluick Yes it does! At least on the Android devices. I have no idea about iOS.
But, as said before, to make it work, you should never show to the microsoft web-site the fact that you are using your mobile. So you need:
1) clear all the cookies and cache from microsoft web-sites in your browser
2) go to google.com
3) switch to Desktop mode
4) google or type microsoft teams web page on the very same tab, which is already in the desktop mode.
If you do it correctly, it will work.
Moreover, I even managed to have a pinned icon on a desktop. But for this you will need a dedicated browser. Here is the instruction:
1) install Firefox Beta or Firefox Nightly (normal Firefox will not work, because about:config is not available)
2) if the app was installed before, clear its cache and data
3) go to about:config (just launch the app, open a new tab and type " about:config " instead of the web-adress)
4) search for " general.useragent.override " and change it to " Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/118.0 " (to make it pretend that you are using Firefox on a Windows PC)
5) search for " layout.css.devPixelsPerPx ". Here you need to select a ratio between real pixels on your phone screen and the "imaginary" pixels that are sent by the browser to the web-site. The value should be positive, I propose to start with 1 by simply removing the "-" sign. Then, find what is the best for your hardware to have a usable interface. For me, the ideal result was obtained with the coefficient of 1.4. The easiest way is to open the Teams in one tab and about:config in the other. Then, modify the value -> switch the tab -> refresh -> check -> switch the tab -> modify the value
6) once everything is OK, go to Teams tab, go to "three points" (parameters) and select something like "Pin to the welcome screen" (I do not know the exact name because my UI is in French)
You're done! You have a perfectly working Teams app on your screen.
One last notice: if you need to join a call, first wait for the app welcome screen to finish its charging completely (it might take up to 1 minute or even more, depending on your connection speed; all the interface elements should appear), then go to the call. If you do not wait long enough, you will not be able to activate your microphone.
Otherwise, almost all the functionalities are perfectly well working, including: audio conference call using Speaker or Bluetooth headset, video calls with the possibility to switch between front and rear cameras, dynamic change of the screen orientation... The only thing which is not working is a screen sharing.

BMXer-V I followed the steps and it worked for a while. However now Im getting this error. No.mattwr if I enabled third-party cookies, resign, it just flashes teams then goes here.
Tried with Beta and Nightly, no luck.
To open the web app, change your browser settings to allow third-
party cookies or allow certain trusted domains.
Try again
if that doesn't work, try signing. out and back in.Thank you

os123455 I tried this "request desktop site" on iPhone browsers(Safari/Chrome), but it is not working as in Android. Can you/anyone please suggest any workaround for it? Help would be appreciated.

Shubham09 I had the same issue. I tried safari. It was hard but I got it there. Go to settings of safari in your phone and unselect lock cookies and avoid following between sites. Then go to safari and select desktop version in AA (maybe you need select this directly in settings of the website also in Aa menu to be sure it doesn't change to mobile version again while is loading teams.). At the end I just add it to my screen in my phone. If you change again the settings for initial values (recomended) you will need to change again each time you want to use teams again.

To update this rather old thread, if you use Microsoft Bookings then the meetings do open in the mobile browser, no install is required. I think this is limited to Bookings though.

Perhaps indeed because we don't use Bookings. I go rather to simply https://teams.microsoft.com/_#/ that loads endlessly and prompting an error after a while. Sad to see this "progress"!

Mkbelim it does work. only problem happens while using the screenshare. It asks to add an extension for Chrome which is not possible while using mobile browser. If any one has any solution or work around please let me know. Its urgent
