Spell check broken in new Teams 2.0 client
Greetings, we have about 100 users running Teams 2.0 and a handful of users, myself included, are seeing issues with the spell check. It will work for maybe 10 minutes, maybe a hour, maybe a day or ...

Sorry, wish i could help. Still no issues here since they fixed it a few weeks ago. We turned on the toggle for users to switch on their own starting Monday. Already had close to 1000 people make the switch and so far no reported issues. About 90% of them are on 24004.1309.2689.2246. Probably should open a ticket with Microsoft.

I am still using the old Teams: I have been constantly checking for months the page below (listing all known issues in Teams 2.0), waiting for the spell checker issue to disappear: no news, always on top.

"The team is focusing on this issue with a high priority", but still not fixed. Wow... and my old Teams just started warning me that in few weeks he'll switch to the "New" forever...
How can it be so difficult to fix it?

Angelo Mariani it's actually been working for us for quite a while now, have you tried using the new client recently?
- Angelo MarianiJun 26, 2024Copper ContributorJanMcIntyre, what I see is that Teams 2.0 does not recognize the language I am using in each chat. I normally chat in 3 languages: Italian (I don't need spell check), English and French. Well, when I am chatting in French it is continuously suggesting English words... and I cannot find the place where to change the language for the spell check. The old teams was asking "are you speaking in French in this chat?", and after a confirmation, it was speel checking in French. Is there any workaround for the new Teams?
