Agree with Magnus here. Planner would be something I would look into for immediate task management. It even has a calendar view but no calendar integration into Outlook. Tasks module will be fairly powerful going forward once it releases and gets expanded. Power Automate flows can help with reminders etc. by utilizing "Reoccrence" triggers so it runs weekly, scans what you put in for it to check and sends notifications based on the results. You can connect this to calendars / SharePoint lists and planner.
