Teams for Windows, CPU consumption

Hello everyone!

Since past month i noticed what my Teams application for Windows started to use a lot part of my CPU just working in the background. So no chats, conferencing or any communications, just backgroud work with a 30% of CPU consumption. I have Core i5-8265U laptop, which actually quite powerfull CPU, and i'm sure this is not a normat situation. How can i find the cause?  Version of the software: 1.3.00.4461 x64

    Hi aero2466 

     

    We did see a spike in the utilization of the Microsoft Teams Application when the Feature of Read Receipt was introduced in Microsoft Teams Application. For most of our users once we disabled the Feature the utilization on the Teams Application went down.

     

    In the recent update released by Microsoft this issue has been addressed and the utilization is back to normal. Check if you can update the application. As per my understanding the latest update is  1.3.00.8663
