Unlink personal Microsoft account from Azure account

I signed up for a free version of Teams some time ago (about a year and a half) to use/evaluate it for my small organization. Didn't end up needing it, but wanted to continue using teams for other work/personal uses, but I can't log into teams anymore, which I suspect is due to an issue with the Microsoft Azure portal/login (I found out some months ago that the Azure account was created when I signed up for teams, which I had no idea about at the time). 

In short, I'd like to simply delete or unlink my account from the Azure account. Or at least use my own account for logging into a free version of teams.
