Audio in breakout rooms

Anyone else have the issue where audio doesn't work in breakout rooms, but does when going back to the main meeting? (and unmuted, of course.)

    I'm happy to report that the issue has been fixed. I can now join the breakout rooms as a host and have no audio issues. The participants can hear / speak to me and I can hear / speak to them.

     

    After updating my 2021 iMac with the newest version of Monterey I had some some problems to run Teams. As a result, I had to clear the Teams cache, re download it and am using Microsoft Edge instead of Safari to open my various meetings from my google calendar.

     

    Despite the somewhat complicated route to get Teams back up and running, I can say everything is working fine again now.

     

    I hope you have all had the issue resolved as well.

      yesssss...thank  you for asking CanuckInGermany All our teachers have reported that the issue has now been fixed. I'm assuming Microsoft has addressed it which is wonderful.

    I have been having the same issue as well. I run internal team development programs for a software company - using breakout rooms is one of the primary functions of my programming. I've contacted Teams but haven't had much help. Hoping that the more this is posted about the quicker it will get resolved.

    I'm working with Teams to do language trainings across a variety of international companies in Germany and this has been a recent problem that is EXTREMELY frustrating. As the host, I set up the breakout rooms for discussions and when I join the individual rooms to help with vocabulary or answer any questions, I can't hear the participants. They hear me fine but I am completely muted for incoming audio... until everyone rejoins the main meeting room and then there are no more issues. 

     

    Please fix this ASAP.

    Our whole school is using Teams and this just started happening so it's NOT your IT. It's mostly an upgrade from Teams which totally sucks and not well thought of but I'm not surprised...we're talking about Teams here. Our school recently changed from zoom to Teams. What a disappointment. Anyway....you'll need to click on your mic (which will then mute it) and then you'll need to click it again..which will then unmute it and yes...let you hear everything as well. Total pain in the **bleep** and we're hoping Teams wakes up and fixes the issue soon!!!!!
