New benefits availability

Just wondering if anyone knows when the new partner benefits, which were supposed to be available from January 22, 2025, will actually show up in the Partner Center? I still can't see them.

  • Had similar issues with our partners. They logged a ticket and Microsoft confirmed that there're some issues with the new benefits. They did manually add the missing benefit for those partners in their Partner Center.

So if you're missing some benefits, log a ticket and they should fix it. Or indeed wait till they fix the broader issue.

It is totally hillarious, that you don't get the latest benefits with a valid partnership contract just because you prolonged the partnership too early (january 8th), even when it was not communicated anywhere and in former years that never was a problem. So you got partly the new licenses after january 22nd but not all "new".
I don't see any reason why it should not be possible to upgrade the licenses for companies with an actual valid contract. What kind of partnership is that? "sorry, you were too early, now go away and come back next year"

The support wasn't any cooperative at all

The guide did not explain well that partners who would renew before January 22 would be excluded from the 2025 benefits. We renewed on January 18, 2025. If I had known the rules were like this, I would have waited four days to renew the partnership. All of this is absolutely ridiculous, especially since the licenses we use are needed to understand the products before selling new licenses to customers. I hope Microsoft will fix this problem and remember that partners are the driving force of sales.

  • I asked the team about this and they responded with the following:

The Benefits Guide is the source of truth for benefits within the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program. The Benefits Guide published on August 6, 2024 states which benefits will be added to existing active offers.

I must say that it was not even clear what the footnote meant.

I thought the "one-time occurrence" wording meant the opposite of what it did - that those marked would only be added for a single year but not future years, and all the rest would be added permanently to the plans.

Because I could not have imagined it meant existing customers would be left hanging high and dry on the other ones. I would have waited the extra 2 months to buy it had I known.

You should go back to them and ask why partners who renewed a bit early are being excluded from benefits, it seems ridiculous to me that we're getting less value than someone who renewed later.

Copilot meanwhile showed up in addition to EntraID P2 and MDE P2, guess we need some patience.

  • Same here. I do see that Entra ID P2 and Defender for Endpoint P2 have appeared under my Partner Success Core Benefits. However, the things I'm really interested in, Power Apps and Power Automate Premium, are not showing up. 🤨

Got the information from a support case that only the benefits with the *** in the benefitslist will show up starting 22nd of January, the other "New 2025" will only get avaiable at your next annual partner renewal.

Huge disappointment, thanks for the clear answer TobiA, if only Microsoft could communicate like you. Ours doesn't renew until late December, a long wait for us.
