Connect MS Project Server 2016 to SharePoint Online
Hello!
I have an instance of MS Project Server 2016 on-premise and I want the documents for each project and the site to be based on an online SharePoint. Basically an hybrid solution where the documents are on sharePoint online. Once I create a project, the site would automatically be created on SharePoint online.
Is this possible? And if so, how can this be done?
- as far as i know it will not be a simple out of the box configurations, you will need a custom solution on primes to trigger a custom provisioning engine online and you can configure the site the way you want, however this comes with the following caveat, those sites are not directly connected to your projects for example if you add a risk and issue lists to those sites project online will not be aware of them. The Project site link on the navigation will not link to the site you will need to do some sort of a workaround. I hope that answers the questions !
