Project in teams not opening task chat window

Hi,

I have been using Microsoft Project for the web and the Teams chat connection with my development team. Unfortunately, something has happened since Thursday 13-02-2025 that means the chat window is not opening for a task (Microsoft Teams -> Channel -> Project -> Task -> Window)

It is extremely annoying, as we use the chat to show examples of development (screenshots, etc.)

Does anyone have the same problem, or a solution to how to solve the problem?

    Hi,

    My workaround was reinstall Teams app, but is not the solution.

    Same issue here at our organization. As we pay quit alot for microsoft licences this should not be caused by any licence problem ;-)

      Task conversations started to work again for us. We didn't do anything so must have been a service fault?

    I also have this issue in GCC.

    It doesn't work in the Teams Desktop application as well as the Teams for Web application. Not sure how to create a workaround. The Teams conversations are available in the Posts tab, but new Posts can't be created to associate with the Project task.

    Our Organization is experiencing the same issue currently. It seems to be an issue on Microsoft's side.
