Permissions / Folder Restriction
Hi, Hope someone can guide me here. We have a team site, that has 29 members. In that site library, I would like to restrict a owner/member seeing a 1 folder, but still can see all other folders. I have read about folder restrictions, but in that, I can only choose "members" not individual members. Can someone point me in the right direction? This may be a question more about the Owners Group and how do I pull that apart so I select individual "owners/members"? Do I delete the members from Groups, but add them as "people" for everyone that can access this folder?

On the Manage access for that folder, click the 3 dots to go to Advanced settings. Then you're back in Classic end permission settings. Stop Inheriting permissions. You can then remove the SharePoint groups (Visitor, Members, Owners). Typically we suggest to never remove Owners because then you've broken your access and you're reaching out to an SCA or SP Admin to assist. But if you do, make sure you add a Full Control individual user, along with any other specific individuals you want at the correct level of permission.
Hello BP2327
you can set folder permissions over Advanced settings:
You can stop inheriting permissions and give individuals permission to this folder.
But please attention: Is it a folder from a channel? Don't do that, a better way is to create a private channel and add the specific people as member from the private channel. I don't like to create "only SharePoint" folders on Teams connected SharePoint Site, you are competing two concepts, the one from Teams with Owners and Members and the other from SharePoint with individual permissions.

Thanks Dave for the reply. So does this mean
that I need to:
- Stop Inheriting Permissions for all members,
- Then add individual members access to all folders I want them the access? as People?
- Currently it is just showing all members as a group?
