Skype not showing me as online

Hello,

I am currently experiencing an issue with Skype where I'm signed in to VPN and I show as 'online' on my computer, but my teammates see me as 'offline.' Does Skype need to be uninstalled and then re-installed to fix this issue? If so, could someone point me in the direction of the right IT person to get help from?
