SMS Texting through Skype for Business

We are looking for a solution to enhance communications and increase employee engagement through SMS text messaging. Can we do this through Skype for Business? I've found info on paying for text mess...

There is now a solution that does allow businesses to send and receive texts from Skype for Business. Single or multiple contacts can be selected from their Microsoft Skype for Business contacts list. On receiving a text, the contact/s can also reply to the business and engage in dialog. The solution (Chatabox) is provided from the cloud with all the security of Microsoft Azure.

        Hi, rforhan,

         

        Just to clarify, Chatabox does offer a choice of a virtual number (ie. the third number you refer to), but we can also SMS-enable your existing Microsoft number as well as your existing landline number, so you can have SMS and Voice on the familiar number you already use. 

         

        FYI, we're also working with Direct Routing partners to add the Chatabox service to the numbers they provide so that you can send and receive SMS on the direct routing number they provide from within Microsoft Teams.
