Pool Pairing Standard Edition Skype for Business
Hi,
I have 1 site with 1 Front End Enterprise Edt SFB 2015, We would like to install SFB 2019 and moving user to SFB 2019. We planning to install Std Edt 2019 and customer want pool pairing. It's possible to have 2 Front end std edt in 1 central site? This customer have 1 site only.
Please advice.

Yes it is possible to have two Front Ends in the same site. Pool paring is used for disaster recovery scenarios, so not for High Availability.
You can have one FE active with all users hosted on that and the other FE passive waiting for failover or you can use both FEs with 50% of the users on each server. You should have the same hardware for both servers (CPU, Memory, Windows version, etc), so the server are identical and can host 100% of your users.

On the Topology builder I need to define 2 different Pool with 2 different Site right?
Example
SIte 1
sfb2019activepool.contoso.com
- Frontend1.contoso.com
Site 2
sfb2019passivepool.contoso.com
-Frontend2.contoso.com
From below article, at no 11. This steps need to be done after moving all user to new pool or can be done before moving user? As for now, all the user still in SFB 2015.Hi,
Two different Standard Pools in the same Site.
Yes, you can do all the steps before moving all the users to the new pools and test that the failover works with a few users active.
