Recovering deleted To-Do task - How?
I accidentially just deleted one of my Microsoft To-Do tasks. I cannot see the trash bin. Is there any?

I found the deleted Tasks/list if I export all the To Do's from Outlook.com
https://outlook.live.com/mail/0/options/general/export
After 2-4 days:-
OR
After copying the missing Tasks/list to Tasks in my POP-connected O365 account in Outlook (desktop app), the restored Tasks/list still doesn’t reappear in MS To Do!!! AGH!

Just happened to me! Found the answer here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/office/delete-and-restore-lists-44a31ee7-cb3d-4906-8bfd-ccebd853b89a
Copied and pasted just in case they later delete the page:
Restore a list
Since your lists are stored on Exchange Online and are also visible in Outlook Tasks, you can recover accidentally deleted lists in Outlook:
1. Sign in to Outlook on desktop with the same Microsoft account that you use with Microsoft To Do.2. Navigate to your email folder list, then select Deleted Items.
3. Locate the deleted folder, right-click it, then select Move > Other Folder > Tasks.
Let me know if it worked. Cheers!

Microsoft Support recently replied to me:-
If you deleted some tasks and want to restore them, you could restore the tasks here https://outlook.live.com/mail/deleteditems. If you delete the tasks by deleting the list directly, all the tasks in that list will be permanently deleted and are unable to restore. It is easy to delete a whole List of Tasks by mistake, so I'm very surprised that the basic function to restore a List and its Tasks is missing.

LLLO365 if you google for unable to recover task from outlook there’s quite a few having the same problem. I did exactly the same as another user described, I was trying to move a task with sub tasks elsewhere and then deleted the copy and couldn’t recover either that or the original, just disappeared completely

LLLO365 Thank you for this! I find this incredibly frustrating as I moved tasks from a temporary list to my permanent one, they moved over so I deleted that temp list and suddenly they were totally gone.. so basically To Do messed up and now I have no idea what important tasks I needed to do ugh
- Jon_BehCopper ContributorSeriously, Microsoft To Do has screwed up. This EXACT SAME THING happened to me. I have lost so many important reminders. Literally despairing right now. And the fact that they don't have backups for situations like this. What the hell

Have you tried to look in the Outlook recycle bin?
- ereissmanCopper Contributor
Salvatore Biscari I am having the same problem. I deleted some of the text from a task in Microsoft To Do and can't get it back. I checked my outlook files and it isn't there. Can you recommend anything else?
